 Our Barcolana ... Do we blow slowly or hard like the Bora to make our sailing boats sail? We have colored and built with ORIGAMI our sailing boats that move thanks to the wind. The wind that blows in Trieste is the Bora. The Barcolana is a historic international sailing regatta held every year in the Gulf of Trieste on the second Sunday of October. Known for being one of the regattas with more participants, on the occasion of the 50th edition in 2018 it officially entered the Guinness Book of Records as "Largest Sailing Race", the largest regatta in the world, thanks to the 2689 boats entered. The particular formula that distinguishes it makes it a unique event in the international sailing scene: on a single starting line, in fact, professional sailors and simple enthusiasts find themselves competing side by side on boats of various sizes.
